Welcome to Jones Memorial Hospital!
Jones Memorial Hospital, located in beautiful southwestern New York State, is a 70-bed acute care facility serving all of Allegany County, as well as western Steuben County and northern Potter County, PA.
JMH is fully accredited by The Joint Commission. In addition, Jones Memorial has received positive recognition in several areas:
- For two consecutive years, The Joint Commission has recognized Jones Memorial as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for providing evidence-based interventions for pneumonia and surgical care. This recognition came about for achieving excellence in performance on accountability measures during 2013 for pneumonia and surgical care.
- The OB Department received a 2013 Quality Improvement Award from the New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NYSPQC) Obstetrical Improvement Project. The goal of this project is to reduce or eliminate scheduled deliveries prior to 39 weeks gestation that are not medically indicated. The OB Team at JMH had only one delivery prior to 39 weeks that was not medically indicated.
- The Medical Imaging Department was recently chosen as a Top Team by AHRA, the national association for medical imaging management, for the impressive strides forward the department has made in terms of education, certifications and updated equipment over the past six years. The teamwork needed to achieve this recognition is impressive.
- The YMCA of the Twin Tiers presented Jones Memorial with a Community Appreciation Award. We strive to be leaders in community wellness and it is gratifying to have our efforts recognized by one of our “partners in health: The YMCA.
Jones Memorial Hospital is the third largest employer in Allegany County. In addition to being a full service, acute care facility, the hospital provides a primary care network with sites throughout the county in the Jones Memorial Medical Practices.
