JONES MEMORIAL MEDICAL PRACTICES
- Full-Time Medical Practice LPN We are currently accepting applications for Full-Time (.90 FTE) Medical Practice LPN to work in the practice of Dr. Felsen. This position will be scheduled day shift, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of weekend and evening hours as patient care needs dictate. The main function of this position is to administer nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse and/or MD. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties as qualified by licensure, orientation, and competency. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT
- Coder/Charge Capture Analyst We are currently accepting applications for full-time Coder/Charge Capture Analyst (.94 FTE). The main function of this position is to code, assign DRG/APC and review records for clinical accuracy and enter charges into abstract system. Conducts routine charge capture audits and implement appropriate changes. This will be done in conjunction with Federal and managed care reimbursement practices in order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the charge capture phase of the revenue cycle. Uses clinical knowledge and billing experience to compare the medical records documentation, UB04, and patient account detail to the individual items billed. Assist in identifying and communicating missing or misdirected charges to site or individual department directors. Works closely with coders, medical records, finance, patient accounting departments to follow-up and resolve charge capture issues. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC). Minimum of 5 years experience with ICD/CPT/HCPCS coding and DRG assignment. Billing and reimbursement knowledge surrounding UB-04 claim submission/generation required; knowledgeable background in encoder and grouper. Meditech/3M knowledge a plus. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
- Network & Systems Engineer responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of networked information systems and devices. This position will require a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MCSE and/or CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/CNE Certification(s) required. In addition, eight (8) years of networking and system administration experience. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Thorough knowledge of networking and security essentials is required. Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience supporting network devices/appliances (i.e. Cisco and Dell), Microsoft Windows Server OS, and Linux OS. In-depth experience supporting: switches, routers, hubs, servers, cables/fiber/circuits, racks, firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, NHRP, PPP, and MPLS. - Anticoagulation Clinic RN We are currently accepting applications for Part-Time (.20 FTE) Anticoagulation Clinic RN. The main function of this position is to provide accurate and timely laboratory test results that assist the clinician in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, utilizing previous technical training along with a knowledge of applied quality control and quality assurance. This position will be scheduled for one shift per week plus additional shifts for coverage of department staff, Monday through Friday, day shift. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current NYS License and Registration as Registered Nurse. - PERIOPERATIVE STAFF NURSE We are currently accepting applications for Full-Time Perioperative Staff Nurse. This position will be scheduled for 40 hours per week and must be able to accept on-call assignments* on weekdays, weekends and holidays. The perioperative RN coordinates total nursing care for the surgical patient in the preoperative, intraoperative and post operative phases of the patient?s surgical experience by providing a safe, caring and efficient environment in which the surgical team can function to provide the best outcome for each patient. The perioperative RN is responsible for coordinating and directing the multidisciplinary activities to provide the highest standard of care for the perioperative patient. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Graduate from accredited School of Nursing with current New York Statue RN license. Previous OR experience is desirable.
