Jones Memorial Hospital has a rich history in this community - one that spans more than 80 years. As one of the largest employers in Allegany County, the success of the hospital has an impact on both the health of the people who live here and on the local economy.

Jones Memorial is the only full service, acute care hospital in Allegany County. Fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the hospital maintains 70 acute care beds. The maternity unit reflects the LDRP concept in which labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum all take place in one room. Jones Memorial Hospital offers a wide range of healthcare services including Laboratory, and Rehabilitation. In addition, the Medical Imaging Services available at JMH are state-of-the-art and include a spiral CT scanner, a DXA scanner for bone density tests, 3D/4D ultrasound imaging and MRI. The JMH Emergency Department was renovated in 2009 to improve the triage and waiting room areas and to improve patient safety and privacy.

As JMH continues to adapt to changes in healthcare and changes in the community, we are listening to those we serve in order to find the ways to best meet those needs. We do this by surveying our inpatients and those visiting the emergency room to find out what we are doing right, and what areas need improvement.
